It was 1985 and Keith Lancaster was putting together a group of singers to act as backing vocalists for Acappella. They were to be known as Acappella's "vocal band." And it stuck. The new quintet debuted as the back-up group for Acappella shortly thereafter and the rest is history.
Their first two albums, Give Me light and Stepping On A Cloud quickly became favorites of all who heard this "new" sound. Over the years, as AVB's sound matured, these original two releases went out of print - never to be heard again. Or so we thought.
More than fifteen years later, the original session tapes have been rediscovered and digitally restored. Now you can hear them like you've never heard them before. On top of that, while digging through the archives, we discovered one song that was recorded by the early AVB and was never released. It is included in this collection. We proudly present to you AVB: The Early Years.
